Hello All,

I picked these up at an Estate sale awhile back, the guy was a Woodworker and had a shop full of stuff. Not sure these are even used for Woodworking but figured I could use them for something and for $2.00 what is there to lose.

Cloth like material

Then these little rubber things?

the cloth could be cheesecloth

the cloth could be cheesecloth It is close to Cheese Cloth and maybe it is. The knit is not as course or thready. This is more dense like a heavy shop towel but you cannot tear it by hand. I do think it will work well for straining.
the rubber things are for holding pictures together while the glue are drying I cannot picture this, can you explain how they are used, I will do an Internet search too.

Thanks Ray!

The cloth is the membrane used when doing acrylic waterproofing on roofs and other places

Thanks Ray!

I went back and reread my post, I meant to say holding picture frames together while the glue was drying BUT YOU CAN FORGET THIS COMMENT, try to use these to support sheets of plywood in the groove while you carry a full sheet with one hand

That fabric is also used for corner reinforcement when water proofing tile showers.

Those rubber things are also used for holding the gunwales of a canoe on the roof of a car.

Does it make any difference that the material is not Fiberglass based as most roofing cloth I have seen?

Thanks Doc, had to look up Gunwales... Guess they can be used for whatever they work for...

I believe the clothe like material is heavy duty toilet paper:)

Like 240 grit paper? Would lead to conservation in it's initial purpose!!

They look like they are glass reinforced plastic and would leave dents in your car roof.

The rubber things are indeed canoe blocks. They still make similar ones. The cloth looks like fiberglass cloth to me. If it is, and as large as it looks, its worth quite a bit. Also, it would make a lot of sense for these items to be in the same place.
