Does anyone know what the name is of a screwdriver that has spring clips that hold the screw on the head of the screwdriver?

Google > screw starter < and you will likely see that for which you are looking.

Here is a selection of different types:

Thanks Jim, I finally found it. It's called a "Spring Clip Screwdriver"

You are welcome.

Of all the screw holders I have, these are my favorites and most used:

They're sold in Lowes or Home Depot where the electrical tools are. I forget which store still sells Klein tools, but maybe someone here knows. If so, Klein makes a good one, and it should be hanging on the wall with the other electricians tools. That's where I bought mine.

some of your screw drivers got a socket device that will hold the screw against the driver tip, THEY comes in real handy when you do not want to get shock when installed a screw

I believe that I bought mine electric screwdriver set at Sear/Roebuck

They even make a bottle opener with their screwdriver handle on it.

I forgot to add when ordering from Amazon, the lengths given are shank lengths and do not include handle portion in length specified.
