Interesting Idea on scrambling eggs inside the shell:

I just break the eggs into a hot oiled pan and stir it up with a spatula after some of the white has cooked.

I guess something like this would let you have scrambled hard boiled eggs.

Neat - I've seen folks do something similar putting the egg in a stocking - here's the first link I stumbled across trying to find it again:

Break your eggs into a sandwich bag add onion, green pepper, cheese, or what ever you like in an omelet, drop into boiling water wait five and enjoy.

Be careful about the bags, though! I know at least some types of bags, the manufacturers specifically tell you they are not safe to boil food in. I don't know what happens if you do, though.

Joshua, If the bag breaks, just call it a poached omelet. Can't hurt to eat it, the boiling water will kill anything on it. We do this on mission trips. Works very well.

It will not kill the chemistry of plastic softeners. Some of them are not to good for humans.
