After doing some research on miter saws, I am leaning toward the Makita 10" Slider.

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out the 12". Nice saw. I have it with no complaints.

I have a 12" and a 10". For interior finish the 10" is better for no other reason than the blade is smaller and has less deflection on shaving cuts. If you do not need the depth of cut offered by the twelve, get the ten.

I like mine, had it about 3 years? Just after they came out with the new model. Good trim saw. Fence is not perfect on mine I've discovered, but not in a way that ruins my cuts. I wish they made it a little easier to attach sub fences, but many suffer from that.

There's an article about 12" chop saws in the current issue of FWW - may be worth the read. That said, I have had the Mikita 12 since it came on the market years ago with few complaints. I've used the newer version with the lazer and found it to be convenient, in fact, considered upgrading but for what ever reason passed on that. Every saw has it's quirks. As long as it's not major you learn to compensate.
