Our AAW club is putting together a presentation on turning-related finishing products and techniques. (Large group with about 140 active and occasional participants near Seattle.) We'd like to include a coatings expert -- somebody who is fluent in polyurethane, lacquer, oil finishes, etc -- but are having difficulty finding a manufacturer who provides that service. Sure, we will orient the seminar to turned projects, but the information will obviously apply to caninetry, too.

We will probably include segments on buffing systems and sanding.

Any ideas?

If you can secure him to do it, Jeff Jewitt would be excellent. http://www.homesteadfinishingproducts.com/index.html

He is in Cleveland, OH.

Edit - If you don't get much action here, remind me and we can move this thread to the Finishing forum. It might get better attention there.

Thanks John
I have beening putting queries out, and have responses from Corp for Rust-Oleum (Watco) and Valspar, referring it to the local rep, but nothing yet from the locals
(I'm the program guy in the club)
