What kind of glue?

If I'm going to soak in a 50/50 glue mixture for hardening, should I use the plain Elmers White Glue or the Wood Glue? The wood glue dries yellow, doesn't it?

I would suggest the cheapest white glue you can buy. You aren't after a good bond between surfaces, just a hardening of the wood. Craft glue should work fine IMO.
