Being a current survivor of the decease makes me more aware that burls are nearly cancers that grow on trees and in themselves can produce some rare beauty despite the ugliness surrounding its affect on friends and family. I made this vessel from a cottonwood burl piece I had for someone who only recently found out she has the disease. I am praying she will recover fully. The vessel is 5" dia x 6" tall and finished with the Beal polishing system and carnuba wax.
