Seen Fri AM at a yard sale. I asked if they had any planes and they brought this out.
You could read SUNBEAM on the side; (you're not going to read any thing with this crappy cell phone pic) I took. The knob on the front was scavenged from something else I guess, the wedge looked halfway well done.

The iron was too rusty to tell if it was factory or home brew (least by me)

Sunbeam's 1950s power tools were apparently quite well built, but this is the first I've seen of a Sunbeam hand tool!

The tote looks like the handle from a clothes iron. Perhaps some cross over engineering?

I agree with Richard. An old hand plane somebody stuck an old sunbeam iron on.
