Everyone,

I remember in a previous post that someone had a dewalt planer, mounted so that it was suspended above the right table saw extension table. I was wondering if anyone knows the source of that pic....

It was basically mounted about a foot above the table so that the saw could be used, as well as the planer.

If somone knows what I am talking about, any suggestions on how to do that same thing, with out a ceiling attachment point?

Scott Coffelt has his planer mounted just above his Table Saw.

Hey Jeff,

I don't have a Dewalt planer, but this is what I did. My garage is small so I put my planer on top of my tool box bottom. A simple base of painted 2x6 raised it enough to allow my fence to slide underneath it. I can rip 38" and it doesn't get in the way when I use my jointer.

Good Luck.

Thanks guys! The dewalt was the one I was looking for! Now I just have to figure out if I like that arrangement. It seems like it might be a pain to raise the boards up that high to plane them... Another option I thought of was to mount it UNDER the extension table, but then it is too low....
