Less expensive Rowmark alternative. Krylon Fusion alternative.

I have a local church that is celebrating 50 years. I have given several designs for a Christmas tree ornament. They are liking the the design with a back engraved ornament. My initial thought was to paint the cast acrylic sheets. My next thought was a product like Rowmark.
Rowmark is to expensive for this project, is there a less expensive "version" of Rowmark?
Are there alternatives to the Rowmark Fusion paint?
I do search before I ask but sometimes you just get overwhelmed with information.

While Rowmark isn't cheap, it's not that much more expensive than a same-size piece of clear plex. Based on a $20-$30 difference in materials and time spent painting (time=$$), myself, I would base my decision on what would work and look best...
