powermatic 2013 band saw blades

I am looking for advice on where to buy good wood cutting band saw blades and what blades would be good for some re sawing and pattern cutting in thick blocks maybe 5 inch thick? tpi suggestions as well as brand of blade. on line outlets for purchase? again I have a powermatic 2013-3

For resawing , you may want to use 3/4" 3 TPI blade. I use 201 haltbar blade 1/2" 3TPi for general cutting. Some prefer to use 3/16 4 tpi for cutting pattern.

I can't comment on the TPI so much, but I bought a 3 pack of blades online from Timberwolf and I have been ridiculously impressed with them.

I went to my local saw shop, they are basically a machine shop that sharpens LOTS of saw blades, not as many as in the days of hss, but still lots of blades, and had them order some new band saw blades, they used to make their own, but now order them from another shop, for 3/8" wide blades, they ran about 15$ each for my mm16. And they are very smooth running, no click click click where the joint goes through the guides. Wish you could send your bandsaw blade in somewhere for a good sharpening. They do not sharpen band saw blades.
