Im thinking about buying bigger machine 180x120 cm or higher from china. Please help me find pros/cons flatbed vs boxed machines design.

Thank you for ideas.

Flatbeds are fixed height tables and require the entire lens tube is moved up and down by hand after unlocking the collett. Not very accurate for you if you do a lot of sizes but great if you set it to one size and rarely change.

Extraction is noisy (you need BIG fans)

A lot easier to align as the tubes are in the gantry

The bigger the machine, the slower they tend to run due to the weight of the glass tube filled with water being in the gantry.

Plus side of a flatbed, you can do full sheets and bigger jobs.

I have some of both and they all have different jobs to run, neither will do everything but both have their benefits

cheers
