Photos with Win 8?

I wanted to post a picture in a thread from my photo gallery on the start page and can't figure out how. Could do it on my old setup, not liking 8 sometimes.....

Larry, I gave up on the windows media junk for that sort of thing a while back. If you use the Chrome browser, and link your pics from your android phone to your google account (automatic), you snap a pic and they show up on any computer you log in on. Then you just copy paste. Brilliant.

I tried it with my office computer the other day using the windows program, after the 5th step, I just gave up. I couldn't get the pic from a stupid tiff file to a jpeg easily. Stupid proprietary files....

I was able to post photos with Win 8 ok, until recently. Now it just doesn't work.

Did something get changed?

PS: Don't like Win 8 much either. Probably because I have no smart phone.
