Other than a single, non-woodworking-related post, I've been lurking, reading, and liking what I see. So, I figure it's time for a brief introduction.
I'm a retired USAF MSgt ('78-99) now employed by the FAA (10 years) and I live in Peters Creek, Alaska. I've been an on again, off again casual woodworker for almost 35 years and most of my shop time has been in wood hobby shops on military bases. Since we bought our house, almost 10 years ago, The WifeŽ has kept me pretty busy with DIY projects and I've managed to collect quite a few power and hand tools as "payment" but I've wanted to get into woodworking more seriously, if only out of my garage. Toward that end, my wife recently gifted me my first serious hand plane (a Veritas #4) for my birthday and just this past Sunday, I bought my first table saw. Glad to be here.
