I do drink tea a lot,I'm talking 4 to 5 big mugs a day, make my own mixture of loose tea,Ceylon tea and Earl Gray,I was wondering how many here are tea drinkers rather than coffee drinkers.
If you do drink tea what kind do you like best and how do you brew yours?

Another Canadian tea drinker here. I have simple tastes, so it's mostly PG Tips in bags - gasp! My wife also likes Stash Decaf Green Tea. Not my favourite.

Green tea drinker here...both hot and iced, 3-4 cups per day. We drink hot in the winter, iced in the summer and changed to green for the health benefits.

Me too.

I'm at work enjoying a nice mug of Earl Grey, black.

Or as one of my friends teases me a "Picard Special".......................Regards, Rod.

At home it's loose leaf tea, my wife is English..........We must have 20 varieties in stock,

I drink a lot of it. Like the taste and find the caffeine release to be slower and more helpful than the jolt of coffee. Tried green tea but to me it has no taste, even when made concentrated. I should use loose tea but don't . Prefer Bigalow over
other brands. Find it hard to get water hot enough for one cup ,so I usually make a pot and preheat pot by filling it with
hot tap water while the real water is boiling. I always have at least three different types on hand. Some have to be drunk
black ,some with half and half, and some with milk. Favorite is oolong with sugar and milk.

Tea bags are alright like Tetley tea (orange Pekoe) tastes great but once you try Ceylon tea you'll be addicted to the taste of brewed loose tea with a bit of honey.goes down easy, has a lot of goodness.

Count me in. I like to mix it up - Earl Gray, Lady Gray, Irish Breakfast (all Twinnings) and 50/50Chai/green (in bulk from a local kitchen shop). For the Chai, I use a french press with a fine mesh strainer on the press and on the lid. Press the mesh about half way down so the leaves stay suspended in the middle and it will make some strong tea. I also have a "tea only" canister that I use in my wife's Kurig.

I am a tea drinker and live in the Uk.

Teas I like are

Twinnings afternoon tea,.Twinnigs Cylon tea and Twinnigs english breakfast (can be a liitle on the strong side )

Worth trying if you visit the Uk are own brand teas sold by Waitrose

https://www.waitrose.com/home/inspiration/about_waitrose/about_our_food/drink/tea_and_coffee.html#.UzIEKvl_tlo

Fortmun and mason have some excellent teas but are expensive

http://www.fortnumandmason.com/c-106-tea-and-coffee-black-tea-loose-tea-fortnum-and-mason.aspx

If I was visiting the Uk I would first sample the Twinnngs, and the own brand Waitrose teas

I think the Fortnum and Mason teas are good but overpriced

been a tea drinker most of my life earl grey 'was' my fav

then about 10 years ago I found out about Chinese Pu-erh Tea ,
I've been drinking it since '03
I make a large pot of boiling water & the fill a tall SS pot with a amount of Pu-erh in a stapled coffee filter & let it steep about 10 minutes
this pot will last me & the wife 2 days . We reheat in the Microwave . we both drink alot of this stuff daily
I take mine with milk & sugar , the wife milk only
Makes a great strong smooth Ice Tea as well
it's said to help with digestion, recovery from hangover & is said to lower bad LDL cholesterol & raise good LDL
Pu-erh is not like regular tea that gets bitter & acidic if over steeped &/or left to sit , it's amazingly stable .
I like the deep red versions as they are about as strong as strong coffee .
it's cooked tea that is later fermented & pressed into disks(called cakes about as big as a Frisbee) that are then aged .
the longer the aging the better the flavor gets so like wine you can get cheaper this years new cakes then age yourself & save $$
the new cakes run from $8.oo to 12.oo
ones that are aged for years can get pricey I've gotten some that were very expensive BUT darn they sure were good
I now buy the newly released & age myself
The disks are about a pound each in weight
it is notoriously over-priced here in the USA , even in Chinatown in SF it's expensive

I get cakes that are about $12.oo to 26.oo from this place
here's the best priced place to buy the stuff I've found .
http://www.puerhshop.com/

here's a brief & better description
http://www.puerhshop.com/index.php?main_page=page_3
I only drink the cooked red verities from the process called Menghai style
this one is exceptional http://www.puerhshop.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_29&products_id=1500
the greens are NOT cooked I find then bitter
the reds are rich, mellow & have a sweet after taste
I brew mine to be as dark as coffee & have about the kick of strong coffee/expresso

my wife is Canadian with a English mother 'big tea drinkers' they love this stuff

I drink tea all day long.

Mostly Twinnings - usually loose leaf, made in my teapot with a built in infuser.

In the mornings - Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast - as the day progresses, Earl Grey, and sometimes Orange Pekoe.

In the evenings we've found a non-caffeine mix we like - the brand escapes me at the moment, but the name is "Sleep Time".

Never heard of cake tea before,I'll give it a try,I used to get a brand of Ceylon tea that never need to be mixed with any other aromatic teas like Eral Gray,it has it's own flavour,it's called Top Tea ,I believe it's produced in India, great tasting tea:

Coffee before 10AM. After then I drink water (cold) or green tea (hot), Japanese style. Beer (brown ale or Guiness) after 5PM.

I am, but I'm not. I used to drink 4 or 5 cups of coffee a day until my stomach revolted. Now I limit it to one cup and then switch to herbal, no caffeine tea. Really don't care for regular tea at all. I keep trying it from time to time thinking that I'll grow into it, but no dice.

Tea is nice, iced in summer. But brandy or single malt whisky is better.

I drink both coffee and tea. 2 cups of coffee in the morning and rarely 1 in the afternoon during the work week. I also have a 16oz bottle of iced tea for lunch every day at work since I don't drink carbonated beverages. At home I kill at least a gallon bottle of iced tea a week, more during the summer. When in the shop I drink only tea. I keep iced tea, a couple of varieties of tea bags, half a dozen kinds of loose tea, and even 3 types of the Keurig ones for when I'm in a hurry.

Newbie tea drinker here. Switched from coffee and started drinking tea about 2 weeks ago. Nothing fancy just the cheep Aldi brand. Taste is fine but I've not really compared it to anything else.

Coffee early A.M., then mostly Luzianne iced tea the rest of the day. I do drink hot tea on occasion TAZO Earl Grey black, Twinings Herbal revive cherries and Madagascan cinnamon, along with Davidson's classic chai. Had to give up the cola products because of the CO2 causing joint pain.
