About once a year we try to get to Ohio Amish country and Hartville to visit Hartville Tool and the flea marke there. On our trip a few weeks ago, I found this really cool homemade height gauge for $5.

Pretty cool. Since it's not shown in the photo, could you describe how the sliding portion is constructed? Or if you happen to have a picture from another angle that shows it, maybe you could post it?

I collect old tools and that looks very collectible and very cool. So...What do you do with it? (other than measure the height of really small people)

Nice looking tool. I would use it for setting the height of blade on my table saw.

Yup...I bet you're right Ken. That didn't occur to me even though I really need something like that from time to time.
