New Yankee Router Table design question - drawer slide length?

As I am finalizing my router table design, based on the NYWS design, I noticed something that I found odd...the drawers and slides are sized at 18" but it appears that one could go with a 20" slide and drawers base on the design? Am I missing something here?

I built mine from Pics of Norm's table. I simply adjusted the coarse dimensions to work for me. Modify the plans if you are using them to suit. After all it is your table.:D

I used the 18" slides on my table as shown in the plans. There is some leftover space in the back. I believe you could use the 20" slides.
