Laguna 14-12 band saw lighting issue.

I have just completed the assembly of Laguna's 14-12 saw and while the saw seems to be a fairly good saw, I question their placement of their $100 operators light. The light appears to be well made and very bright, unfortunately the only location that receives good lighting is the top of the blade guides and they cast a shadow on the work area where light is needed.

I am posting here in hopes that someone can tell me what I am missing, as it stands now the light might be getting ready for a return trip.

I evaluated that saw and decided the auxiliary light was overpriced and located in the wrong place. There are lots of alternatives with magnetic mounts that you can place exactly where you need and they cost less money.

I bought this little LED lamp (http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/80169636/) from Ikea for mine. Works great. I think I'm going to get more for other tools.
