So for the third year in a row, I stop and watch the demonstration of the Rabot Kid:

http://www.rabotkid.com/en/

It is a "plan" that uses razor blades (utility and single-edge, depending on application).

The product is from France, and the demonstrator is from France. My favorite part of the demonstration is using the a single-edge blade for scraping. He puts a burr on the blade in about twenty strokes with a dull utility blade, and then you are allowed to feel the burr (it is an impressive burr). The he proceeds to demo the very nice curls it produces.

While I'm intrigued I never buy one.

Has anyone here purchase one? Comments?

I watched the demo several years ago. While the French guy was a bit hard to understand with the background noise, I found it intriguing, too. I stopped short of spending $50 to find out if I would really like it.
