On that auction site that shall not be named is a listing for a Stanley 45 fence screw. It is the locking screw it is more often missing than not.

It is BIN for $15.

If you need it and buy it, maybe you could let others know so they don't strike out searching.

Forgot to mention I have no idea of the person selling this and have never dealt with them.

Good grief, I had no idea that one screw was 1/6 the value of the whole plane! Apparently these are in demand?

Usually when purchasing a Stanley 45 there are parts missing.

Most likely to be missing is the slitter blade.

Second most likely on type 11 and later is this screw.

This is one of those commonly missing items one seldom sees listed for sale. Another is the depth stops on #98 & 99 side rabbet planes.
