LV Mk.II Honing Guide Question

Last week my new LV Mk.II honing guide arrived at the front door. (Stealth gloat) I have not used it on a plane iron yet but was wondering if anyone has been able to camber an edge? The roller is much wider than the older one and it looks like it might not camber very easily. I was thinking about putting a thin ruler on the stone to create a side angle. Although my concern is it may cause me to wear the stone too much in one area.
