This bowl was done back in 2011. It is about 16.5"L x 12"W x 5"H without bark and has a poly urethane varnish/oil mix finish and Renaissance wax. It was done by splitting a 20"D trunk section into 4 sections to optimize the wood, get 4 rather than get 2, and the oval bowls will also store easier. 284274
This finish is for display only, but an oil only finish can be used for general salad/food use. The barkless still has character and could be burned if there are any pyros out there.
