Drying Burl Pen Blanks

Can a Microwave be used to dry fresh cut Birch Burl that has been cut into Pen Blanks ? Say 6 inches long by 1 to 1 1/4 inches square ? What would be the proper length of time in the microwave to have them properly dried ?

Yes. Dry for 30 seconds, then let sit for 5-10 minutes. Repeat until they stop losing weight.
