havent been on in a while as i have been busy building stuff, so i thought i'd show off a few pieces. one thing i learned - boxtail joints in 8/4 hardwood is not easy, but i have found a way to get close given the limited tools i have. the mantel is from solid poplar with an antique paint finish to make it look old. first bedbench is elm. the oak bedbench has slipper shelves, i thought that was a cool way to use some leftover scrap. coming soon is an attempt to make a solid oak entry door, time to do some research.....
