Snowing in Virginia Today

Well it may not be earth shattering news to many of you but the reason I mention when we have bad weather is that the possibility of a power outage goes up big time. This means the risk of SawMill Creek disappearing for awhile increases so don't be surprised if it happens.

We missed the freezing rain that was forecast for our area, thats the good news. We are only supposed to get between 5 to 8 inches of snow, shouldn't be a big deal as long as the power stays on :)

If we get 8" of snow I might get some tractor seat time....... :)

We had a day of light drizzle yesterday, remnants of the CA storms. It was nice but we need much more.

You're welcome to come up here and spend some time in the seat of mine. Lord knows I'm getting sick of it.

You have to replace the fuel cutoff solenoid first though. Its tons-o-fun as you can almost touch the back bolt and get 1/8 turn on the ratchet!

As I sit here, I am looking at a 1.5 mile wide lake, completely frozen over. Last year I went kayaking twice a week all winter; this is a rotten winter all over.

The past two weeks have been awful around here we've even had a day of 76* weather, the blasted sun shines all day long, it's just terrible. Do I want snow? Not! That's why we moved here, so we could get out of the snow. It worked!

Just to let you know. In the past hour the wind has shifted out of the NE now, the wind is at about 25 MPH and the temperature has dropped 10*.

Things are heating up here (near Minneapolis).

Tomorrow (4 March) will be the first time in 50 days where the daily low temperature will be above zero.

The shop has been 70 degrees every Saturday and Sunday!
