Woodpecker Knuckle Clamps

I am getting ready to purchase a woodpecker drill press table and trying to decide which clamps to get. Do the knuckle clamps have the same reach and the other style? They look really nice but wondering if they have the same reach as the other style.

How thick of material will both styles hold down?

It probably doesn't matter much for drill press work but they look way too bulky for use on my cnc router. The Incra / Rockler / Woodcraft clamps work well.
