Hello all-
I just found this forum while browsing for something totally unrelated, and thought I would join. So, to introduce myself, I'm Jason, I've been turning for about a year and half on a Jet 1236 and I'm saving money for a PM3520 right now. Hopefully I'll get it this fall. Anyway, I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I get home (at work right now). My question is, is there anyone in or near central Indiana that has a coring rig with a good sized lathe? I have a couple of large burls that I would like to core and get a couple bowls out of rather then one bowl and alot of shavings.

Thanks!
Jason

Welcome Jason. You'll find that this is a great place to have your coffee. Can't help you with a coring rig...Undortunately, I do everything the hard way and I have the aches and pains to prove it!:D

Jason, Welcome to SMC!

As to your coring question, contact your local AAW (http://www.woodturner.org) chapter to see if there is anyone local to you that can help out.
