Have done quite a few metal planes now, and only have done one Transitional.
The Stanley #27 was not a lot of work but was fun to do.
Came across this Sargent #3408 and was in pretty good shape, but needed a little clean up.
The metal was clean up with lemon juice to get the rust off, but the Japanning was too bad off in some area's.
The wood was good but need some sanding and a new finish.
Here is the project.
Before and after, next come the blade sharpening and the making of some shavings.
Anyone who wants to post there work here is welcomed.
