Does anybody have or used one of these? Made by the same company that makes the Gripper. I like my gripper and am thinking about pulling the trigger on the tapering jig.

It looks interesting but, I prefer some of the shop made versions I have seen. I really like Micro-Jig's products but, I would want a jig that holds/carries the part to be milled so that there is only one setup. That being said, the MJ taper jig has nice fixed stops to allow the readjustment to be repeateable and it integrates a lot of safety features.

i have one, it has its limitations but it's good for making repeatable cuts (i don't mean one after the other, I mean repeatable like when you want to make an identical cut at some other time) at many different angles and ratios.

it has a lot of pre-sets to make cuts at certain degrees of angles and also certain rise over run ratios. it also has stop blocks to create custom angles.

i like it because I know I won't take the time to make a nice jig that has an accurate enough scale to would give consistent repeatability. if I was making a ton of angle/taper cuts, I'd likely build a jig with he features I want.

the company has a video that shows the capability, if you haven't seen it, may be worth it to watch:

And this third party product demo (not sure if affiliated with the product in anyway):

hope that helps
