I need to find a source for the type of Wall Name Plate Bracket shown in this pic. It looks to have only a bottom track.

I use this J Channel that fits over clip board material or Sublimation Hardboard. It is made by Nudo.com and I buy it through Grimco. The Nudo PDF with the profiles is now a 404 error as they redesigned the web site and I could not find it quick.

Here is a picture. I use mostly Red but had a few strips of black in the shop. You could make a holder with the Engraved Sign and a short piece in the back. ??

Did you check Johnson Plastics?

Haven't found it at either Johnson or JDS. Looks very similar to whats in the pdf that Mark sent. To be sure, I'll have the customer email a pic of just the holder.

Tim,

I know it isn't always the most profitable road to take but you might consider purchasing an acrylic bender and make your own J channel. When a custom job comes up its nice to be able to fit a customers needs exactly rather than offer a compromise. Of course this is not an option if you don't have a shop with the necessary equipment to process acrylic for the bender.

I have a small acrylic bender and a heat gun that work well together.

Tim, try checking out JRS directly. They carry a lot of sign bracket type items. I think JDS carries a limited stock of their products

and if they take the holder off the velcro and look at the sticker on the back you will know who sold it to them ......... it can't be that easy..

What are the dimensions 2 x 8", 1.5 x 10

Tim, is the top edge black? It looks similar to a JRS #36 with the top cut off, but JRS doesn't have the fancy angle on the front of the bottom track.

Is it plastic or aluminum?

so many questions!

I thought so too. Yes it is aluminum. I'm guessing it was a custom job. The customer is now good with finding a new method to hang them. Can't use a standard track as the new plates will have an abnormal (custom) shape to them. The current tracks are held up with Velcro, so we may just use that directly on the back of the name plates.

Tim

Have you looked at extruded plastic. It seems to me that I've seen that shape. I wouldn't give up on a holder as it is a way to add gross margin to the job with no effort on your part.

Thanks guys. Customer opted to to Velcro the Name Plates.
