Here is a little turned end grain box made from some very hard hickory that challenged my tool sharpening ability. It was so hard that when I was hollowing the body of the box the shavings were hot coming off the gouge.

This box is 2 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/4" tall. I am posting it showing all sides in a composite picture. I have been having fun using this new GIMP software.

Another great looking box Mike. I bet you could sell them as fast as they come off the lathe.

Excellent, Mike. I really like that one, including the nice straight grain that compliments the form.

Well Mike, I know I don’t post here like I should be but I do read this forum a lot. I have to say that you have come a long way and that box is great! So from one box maker to another, Great Work!

I'm a ways off from attempting a box. Yours sure are inspiring Mike. Very nice. Doesn't that heat just make you feel alive??
