Many, many years ago, my Dad (now deceased) purchased for me a Skil 400 portable belt sander...While cleaning up shop today, found it dusty and unused tucked away in a corner.I would really like to get it back in running condition...Runs well but needs new sanding belt...I'm having trouble online finding the correct belt size..I've seen hints of 4X21" and 4X 21 3/4"...Any tips guys? Seems to me it was an odd size back then...Appreciate your help as always..Thanks

Looks like it may be 22", according to this (http://www.jpennyltd.co.uk/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=5) (560mm), but these guys (http://www.abrasives.net.nz/prod_coated_belts.htm) say 21 3/4" (552mm). This guy (http://powertool.manualsonline.com/ex/product/headline/m/skil/d/sander/p/400) and this guy (http://www.fixya.com/support/p5214890-skil_vintage_4_belt_sander_400_100_wor) both mention 21 3/4" so it seems that may be the size you're looking for.

Roy, thank you so much....I visited some of those sites earlier but had trouble finding the actual belt size...Seems like 21 3/4"X4" is the one...I really appreciate your effort..The beauty of SMC again is professional, knowlegable WWers like you willing to share their experience and help each other...Sincere Thanks!!!

No problem, Jerry. It was the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep anyway - so a couple of minutes helping you out helped to pass the time!
