Mac OS X Mavericks Install Problems

I updated my 2008 Macbook Pro to Mavericks a month ago and the App store and iTunes store won't work now. I tried to reinstall OS X today and that did not fix the problem and I can't get any updates to work as they go through the App store now. The App store only shows the gray screen with the logo in the center and when I try to log into my account it says connection failed. When I start iTunes I get a “s.mzstatic.com and init.itunes.apple.com server errors.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I knew if I posted this I would find the solution shortly after...

If anyone else is has the problem, update the preferences of your certificates in Keychain that have the + sign...

This worked for me only after I searched for hours for a solution and tried numerous other things before posting...

OK, back to the Super Bowl!
