I recently tried Loctite's Plastic Bonding System on a couple of plastic items that had cracked and refused to bond with other adhesives I had tried. The application is simple. Pop the cap off the activator, which looks like a magic marker, and rub it on both surfaces to be glued. Then apply a small bead of adhesive to one surface. Press the items together and they bond. It works on hard to bond plastics like polypropylene and polyethylene. An easy to use useful product it will remain in my tool kit.

Tks,Lee. According to the Loctite site, it's their new CA glue. I like the idea of the acclerator in a stick.

I have used this stuff on quite a few items now, and it has worked better than any other general-purpose plastic glue I have ever tried. It is readily available at the Borg.

Is it waterproof?

Depends what you mean by "waterproof". If you mean prolonged immersion, I don't know. But it is CA, which is not water-based so should be pretty water resistant.
