Mesquite Wave Box

Mesquite Box with wavy joint. Around 4" (10 cm) tall. Finished with Bush Oil and polyurethane. This one was made before the rainbow version but the oil / poly finish takes longer to do.

Yes, I normally use a piece of wood from the same blank just above the finial so that I can sort of get a grain match on the tenon, but in this case I messed up and had to re-make it from a piece of scrap. I got the basic idea from Kathy Marshall.
