Cherry Bowl with Zentangle Inspired Pyrography. Created as part of a public demo at The Woodworking Shows to promote the artistic side of Woodturning and the local woodturning clubs of Connecticut and Massachusetts. Around 10" (26 cm) across. Finished with oil and polyurethane.

Beautiful bowl Eric, would be even without the pyrography

Nice bowl but I would have used a wood with less figure.

Great shape on the bowl. I would like to see it a little thinner, but that is just opinion, of course. The design is great, and the lines look nice and smooth. Winner all the way!

I really like that. Good form, sweet curve, the thickness suits the piece, and...hmmm...my wife was just talking to me last night about doing some "Zentangle" pyrography on some of my pieces. Hmmm...

The rim is undercut on the inside, so the wall thickness is actually drops down to around 1/4" despite looking quite thick at the rim.

I've been doing Zentangle pyrography for a year now, it is very relaxing.

You are probably right, but this is what I had handy when the show came to town.

Very nice, the fine lines of the burning make the enhancement subtle at first glance but the detail draws me in.

Very nice Eric. I like the pyro pattern a lot and could easily see variations of it on future projects.

I like the ZIA design...it looks like overlapping stylized ginkgo leaves.
