I'm thrilled. The buyer for the Smithsonian Gallery Store sent me a purchase order today for some of my little stuff. They will be sold in the Renwick Museum. The Renwick is part of the American Art Museum in DC. Not the biggest order I've gotten, but it sure feels good to get that kind of exposure.

I've shown the pictures before but this is what they wanted to start with.

Kudos on the beautiful work and kudos on the well-deserved recognition. The Smithsonian isn't your average Mom 'n Pop organization.

They are quite small. Check out Perry's web site at:

Congratulations Perry! That quite an honour.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the suggestion to look at my web site, if you do, please keep in mind it is very out of date. I've just got to find some time to delete the items I have dropped and add the new ones.

As far as size, the first ones are about 2 x 2 x 4. The second ones are 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 2. The oil lamps are about 3" square and vary 3 to 5" tall. The woods are Mahogany, Brazilian Cherry, Ash and Ambrosia Maple. All the tops are fused glass tiles. Made with 3 layers of window glass and colored glass powders all melted together at 1500 deg .

Beautiful designs and work Perry. Are the little boxes and candle lamps lined with copper?

That's wonderful! Congratulations! That's some really interesting work. I love pieces that contrast light and darker woods.
