ok everything i read and have heard is that raw tung oil dries very slowly, and though it may feel dry, it is not cured, and you need days to weeks for it to cure for the next coat. But the Wood River 100% tung oil claims it is unprocessed, which i assume means not polymerized and indeed raw, yet the directions say to wait at least an hour between coats and overnight before use.

anyone have any input ?????

thanks - again all over the map, but nobody recommends what the makers says to do - apply a coat after 1 hour. and i cant see being able to use after drying just overnight. i think i'll keep on a track of 50/50 with MS 1-2 coats a day for 2 more days, that ought to do it, then just let it sit and cure a couple of weeks.....

its in my garage/shop, it is cool but not terrible. it is 30 deg out and 58 in the garage as i have a/c ducts in it, but i am in houston so it is rarely this cold and will only be so for a couple days here and there.

Be sure to ask in the finishing forum if you have no more responses...

I did some walnut floors about 8-9 years ago. Used this as a guild.
