Stairs - white risers and scuff marks

Hello,

I am rebuilding a stair case and the wife wants white risers. In my old house I had white risers and had many scuff marks from tennis shoes. What paint or product can I use to prevent marks on the risers?

You can leave the paint as is after you paint it, and use a mild polishing compound to remove scuff marks.
