I Just visited the Kreg web site (http://www.kregtool.com/) and saw that they have a few new pocket hole jigs that are about to come out. They have been telling me for a while that something big was comming soon, this must be it! Much improved web site by the way.

looks awesome. I like the dust collection on it.

I saw the proto type at a woodworking tool vendors show this last weekend...looks great and they should have it in production in a couple of months

Hi there,

What I found interesting is how much this looks like the Penn State product

http://www.pennstateind.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PHJIG2&Category_Code=

which someone else pointed out to me. It seems to try and address the need to handle variable width material, but I am not sure if it is a replacement for the K2 Pro, or an add on.

IAE - I have ordered the Penn State unit and I will report on my findings as soon as I have had a chance to use it.

I like the front clamping mechanism, the current Kreg Jig (K2000) is a pain when using it on a big panel.

Keep your eyes peeled for some closeout specials on the K2000 package -- I've been thinking about getting a pocket-hole jig since seeing the Kreg demo at a woodworking show last winter. Now might be a good time...

And of course, I had just bought at a WW show the older model. Sigh....
