I have fallen over Bubinga ,Cocobolo & the various Rosewoods
Before I dive in what should I be looking at in doing glue-ups & what joinery just doesn't work with these oily woods ? ? ?
do shop cut veneers of these woods have a issues ?

No problems with Bubinga and Titebond III. Cocobolo is a bit like teak, so titebond III should be ok. Edge gluing even long grain of ipe (lapacho specifically) was so frustrating even with titebond III I only have success with epoxy on that one. If all else fails, a good epoxy will work on oily woods.

Try wiping the edges with laquer thinner, then giving them a light scuff with sandpaper just before gluing.I would also use a non waterbased glue.

I've done bubinga and cocobolo with Titebond and had no problems. No experience gluing Ipe.

I've got some cocobolo still stuck to walnut after 40+ years. I just wipe with acetone immediately before gluing.
