So I bought a lake cabin today

SWMBO and I signed the purchase agreement today to buy another house. This one on a local lake. We're 2-5 yrs away from retiring and this place fits into the plan. We plan to sell the big house and move to the lake when we get closer to the retirement. So I have a couple of years to plan the new shop. SWMBO is even on the same page as me about shop size and having hunting dogs in the house! Now I just gotta get another dog.
It's going to be fun planning the next steps.

Yeah we're pretty excited about it. I'm excited to be planning our first step to retirement. It's a least 2 years away and more like 4 or 5 but I like the idea of working the plan. Lake cabin and residence in the great low tax state of SD and hopefully another (cheap) rental some place warm for a few months where we can ride motorcycle.
