I received a new RDLC 320 A controller and need to know what it takes to program it for my laser. Also I use laserwork V6 and need a password to get into some features. does anyone know the password.

Thanks for the manual could you tell me what wires to reverse to make the z run opposite. That is the only thing that I need now.

I have no idea what wires to reverse , I think you can do it in the software in RDcam tho.

If your stepper motors have three wires (mine do) you should be able to swap any two where they connect to the driver and have the motor run the opposite direction - but only if they are three wire motors, do not do this with four wire motors.

For a 4 wire stepper you would reverse one of the coils - you would need to know which two wires feed one coil and swap them.

Easier to do this in a software setting though...

I don't have the password to get into that feature in the software or on the controller

As Rodney said, the password should be: rd8888

If you do change parameters - you need to do a read to get the current machine parameters- NB SAVE the original parameters after the read ... then change and do a write.. YOU MUST do a read - what you see displayed when you get into machine parameter menu may NOT be what's in the machine or controller.

Hi All,

I bought a chinese laser with an RDLC 320A controller in December. A couple of weeks ago, we had a controller failure and the Chinese supplier sent a replacement controller. I've installed the controller, but there's a slight problem with the Y axis movement. When I press the UP arrow, the laser moves away from me and when I press the DOWN arrow the laser also moves away from me. I've sent the details of this to the chinese supplier, however I think that the detail is lost in the translation, despite the best efforts from both sides.

I am sure that there must be a way to log into the configuration through the USB connection, to check the parameters of the output to the stepper motor. Since the X axis is working fine, I'm sure this is just a minor issue and I'd be very grateful of any assistance with accessing the controller.

start your lserworks software and under file go to vender settings. the password is RD8888 read your settings and save them so you can get them back if you screw up then you can change the Y in there then write it to the machine
