Quick question for any electricians out there. Can you give me the name/model of a panel box that allows one three phase in and two-out configuration. Basically I'm looking to extend an existing 3 phase connection from my planer out about 10' currently I'm wired directly from my RPC to the planer via flexible conduit from the wall box (no plugs). So i'm hoping to find a buss bar type box with studs and so I could use i-lugs and not run a full additional run to the new Saw-stop. If it could support 3 lugs and a ground that would be great.

What do you mean by "one three phase in and two-out configuration"?

a 3 phase in 3 hots + ground and be able to support two 3 phase runs out i.e. think of it as a splitter. On in other words wired in series.

You mean "in parallel"...

Google "GE 3 Phase Load Center". That's how I found mine. BTW, I'm not an electrician but I stayed at a Holiday Inn...

You are correct sir, my bad. Found my answer. A three phase load center will do the job but a bit $$. I found a 12 circuit panel for 50 bucks, but the breakers to go in it are 50 bucks a piece I was hoping for for lugs that I could use in a box and solder on copper I loops and bolt on. Similar to how my rpc works. But I think this is still cheaper than running the required copper all the way back to the RPC.

I like the disclaimer. I'll use that in the future. Thanks.

Keith, why don't you simply mount a couple of 4" junction boxes to the side of your RPC, and wire a pair of 3 phase twist-lock receptacles in them. Then simply make a couple of extension cords from 10/4 SO cable (or whatever gauge is required for the load) to run from the receptacles to your equipment.

I believe that I would use 2 gang deep metal junction boxes for each receptacle, along with a metal coverplate similar to this one: http://www.lowes.com/pd_5813-427-812C_0__?productId=3182897&Ntt=metal+electrical+box&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNtt%3Dmetal%2Belectrical%2Bbox%26pag e%3D3&facetInfo=.

If you have a 30A load, then an L15-30 series receptacle and plug would be appropriate for 240 VAC 3 phase (such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/Leviton-2720-Receptacle-Industrial-Grounding/dp/B000R89786).

Good idea. And cheaper than my solution. I'm not a moron but I stayed at a...no, actually, I'm a moron. Scott

This is more of a question, rather than a reply, but here goes: What's with staying at a Holiday Inn? Is this an inside joke or something?

It was a joke in a series of commercials for Holiday Inn Express. Here's a representative sample:
