This is the first item I've turned in months that wasn't for Christmas or to fill an order. It was fun to be able to just do something because I wanted too! It's the first of 4 burls I bought online from an Australian vendor who shipped it to my daughter in Sydney. She then carried it to Texas when she and her husband visited us in November. It's the 1st time I've turned wood like this, very dense but fun to work with. Looking forward to turning the other 3 and getting some more next month when we visit her in Sydney. Finish is Danish Oil and buffed. Size is 8" x 2.5".
