Steve Wall Lumber sells it, www.walllumber.com (http://www.walllumber.com), 1-800-633-4062, Mayodan, NC. 4/4, 1c, $2.30, select, $3.50, 8/4, 1c, $3.20, select $4.25.

Description from catalog: "Butternut: (White Walnut), Soft, beautiful grain and golden brown. Some contains worm holes. Sources say blight on this wood is causing it to become extinct like chestnut. Try some before it is too late."

As a comparison, Wall sells 4/4 select Cherry, Walnut, Mahogany (Genuine), Hard Maple, and oak (red & white) for $4.90, $4.00, $3.90, $3,15 and $2.60.

I checked your other post, http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=21218, where you were asking for general lumber prices. Except for the cherry, seems like your supplier's prices are something like 1/2 of Wall's. Real good prices.
