double lines

when I have a pattern made in to a vector it shows up with double lines

Sound like it was done "outline" instead of "centerline". Outline will be both sides of lines draw whereas centerline will be done in center of lines. One line down center of line or two lines one on each side. For laser work you want centerline tracing.
