Does anyone have an adhesive recommendation to glue a china bowl? It will need to withstand both heat and cold. The bowl is a fairly expensive (Danbe sp ?), so I'd like to try to salvage it.

A clear epoxy? The wipe away as much of the squeeze-out as possible after you re-join the broken parts?

My wife has glued several crockery things together with plain old Elmers white glue, with good results. For important pieces she has some glue that looks like white glue, but it is thicker. I think she got it at Michaels hobby shop.

She recently broke a glass crock pot lid in half and glued it together. I don't know what she used, but I can ask her this evening. We have used the crock pot several times since, and had no problem. Amazing.

Maybe you could call someplace that sells good china, and ask what they use?

Hope this helps,
Rick Potter

EDIT: I asked her, and she said it was a thick white glue she got at Joanne's fabric store.
