Never would have thought of this. Cool fence Jig. I've done tons of pattern cutting on a router table, but never on the tablesaw.

Bob Van Dyke's take on the "L" fence (http://www.finewoodworking.com/workshop/article/the-incredible-l-fence.aspx) is pretty cool as well.

Fine Woodworking had an article on this a few months back. I've done it for years but never gave it much thought. i figured everyone did it.

Works great for getting the base and top lip even all around a box, urn or such. Just set the jig out over the blade as far as you want the base/top to stick out, keep the sides tight to the jig, trim and the exposures are all perfect even if the item is odd shaped
