I have a Ridgid shop vac that has holders in two of the caster feet for the purpose of holding the extension wand(s). However, these really don't hold them very well as they are too short, and the extension(s) usually fall over when the unit is rolled or bumped. I decide to fix this after the last time that happened.
I found a pc. of scrap, rounded the corners so it would fit into the extensions, and shaped the bottom to fit into the vac foot. Then, for extra stability, I bolted the pc. at the bottom. No more problem!
